AGENDA – MIL-STD-461F AND SYSTEMS COMPLIANCE
Hot Off The Press . . . well warm anyway! MIL-STD-461F was released 10 December 2007 so as specs go it's only about 5 years old. Though similar to MIL-STD-461D/E there are some significant changes in content and procedures. This five-day short course is intensive! fast paced! . . . and designed to bring students up to date with MIL-STD-461F in the shortest period of time! The course starts with an overview of the MIL-STD-461F contractual and CDRL items (Design Control Plan, Test Plan, and Test Report). Terms, definitions, and EMC basics are covered during a segment on practical EMC design structured to help students prepare and/or evaluate the major Control Plan requirements. Because of DOD’s strong emphasis on COTS equipment, the FCC and EU Test/evaluation methods are surveyed and compared with MIL-STD-461F. You will definitely be enlightened! Lastly, MIL-STD-464C will be discussed along with MIL-STD-1541A and the proposed 1541B for those involved in Space applications.
